128 / 162 avenue de France
75 013 Paris
As part of the Constellation program, which runs throughout the Centre Pompidou’s renovation period, the Centre’s film programming is relocating to mk2 Bibliothèque in Paris.
Renamed and rebranded in the Centre Pompidou’s colors, the current entrance located at the heart of the Bibliothèque nationale de France François-Mitterrand becomes mk2 Bibliothèque × Centre Pompidou. This venue—featuring four screening rooms and a central atrium—will host retrospectives, thematic cycles, festivals, previews, regular events, talks, and masterclasses curated by the Centre Pompidou and the Cinémathèque du documentaire of the Bibliothèque publique d’information.

Founded in 1974, mk2 is a leading force in European independent cinema. The group operates 23 cinemas in France and Spain, attracting over 7 million viewers annually. An international producer and distributor (Anatomy of a Fall, Kaizen), mk2 is also an integrated media and creative agency.
For 50 years, mk2 has championed auteur cinema that offers critical insight into the world, combining bold artistic works, major popular hits, and cultural events. Designed as living spaces, mk2 cinemas host exhibitions, debates, lecture series, and masterclasses, fostering dialogue between cinema and all forms of creative expression.
A true hub for cultural innovation, mk2 Bibliothèque now houses mk2 × Centre Pompidou, extending a long-standing partnership between the two institutions. Following the retrospective "Abbas Kiarostami. Les chemins de la liberté" in 2021, and the 2023 exhibition "Corps à Corps. Histoire(s) de la photographie", this collaboration continues to explore intersections between cinema, visual imagery, and contemporary art.
