As a key partner of the Centre Pompidou, Centre Pompidou-Metz plays a vital role in the implementation of the Constellation program.
Starting in 2025—the year of its fifteenth anniversary—it will expand its commitment to showcasing the national collection, dedicating several gallery spaces to it, with varied rhythms and perspectives, while continuing to present its own programming.

Created in 2010, Centre Pompidou-Metz is the first original decentralization initiative by a national public cultural institution—the Centre Pompidou—in partnership with the Metz metropolitan authority. At the crossroads of major European cities, it welcomes nearly 300,000 visitors each year, many of whom come from neighboring countries.
Centre Pompidou-Metz offers a multidisciplinary program designed to engage all audiences: exhibitions, performances, talks, film screenings, dance, live art, concerts, and guided tours. Joyfully offbeat events, shaped by a diversity of influences, invite visitors to see the world differently.
The Centre Pompidou’s collection of 140,000 modern and contemporary masterpieces regularly finds a home in Metz. While fully embracing the Paris institution’s artistic vision, Centre Pompidou-Metz asserts its own independence—through ambitious, thought-provoking exhibitions and a vibrant, often participatory, public program that is distinctly its own.
