As part of the Constellation program unfolding throughout the Centre Pompidou’s renovation, the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles hosts the Cinémathèque du documentaire’s daytime programming—including Les yeux doc à midi, the free Friday screenings, and seminars in partnership with universities and major higher education institutions—along with selected events organized by the public information library Bpi (such as the Belgian Theory series).

The venue

The Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles is an arts center and a key platform for contemporary Belgian creation—an intersectional and connective space founded in 1979. It is a decentralized entity of the public body Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) and one of its two international centers.

Through a transdisciplinary program, the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles is mandated to promote and support artists based in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, highlighting both emerging and established talents. It plays an active role in fostering international collaboration and drawing attention to the Belgian art scene. The Centre champions contemporary creation in all its forms and sheds light on the vibrant creative ecosystem of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
