Just a few steps from the Beaubourg district, Gaîté Lyrique also hosts occasional events such as Effractions, the contemporary literature festival organised for the past seven years by the Bpi.

Têtes d'affiches
18 April – 3 July 2026
1st – 27 September 2026
For its first season at the Gaîté Lyrique, Studio 13/16 invites you on a thought-provoking exploration of the challenges of self-representation in the digital age. How do we construct our own image? What does it say about us… and what does it hide?
The programme features five workshops designed by contemporary artists, performers and designers: Arnaud Laffond, Rose Gigot, Mona Young-Eun Kim, the Ne Rougissez Pas! collective and Marianna Ladreyt.
Summer Green
2 July – 2 August 2026
Out in the open on the forecourt of the Gaîté Lyrique, everyone is invited to freely create and design their own imaginary garden – green and lush – through drawing and colour, using a hybrid artistic tool that combines modular bas-reliefs and plant stamps. A workshop designed by the illustrator Florence Gendre and Atelier Leherpeur.
La Gaîté Lyrique is a City of Paris cultural center that seeks to address pressing cultural, social, democratic and climate issues.
The Factory of our times project combines creation and social engagement to help people put ideas into practice as they gather together for a concert, roundtable, drink, performance, workshop or screening.
La Gaîté Lyrique is open daily to support a new generation of talents, break down barriers between practices and audiences, and build new narratives on a European scale.
La Gaîté Lyrique – Factory of our times offers new ways to create and act together, hand in hand with artists, activists, thinkers and changemakers.
La Gaîté Lyrique is a City of Paris cultural center supported by four partner organizations: Arty Farty, a culture non-profit makesense, social engagement non-profit, SINGA, an international community-building NGO; ARTE (ARTE France), a European media outlet as well as a major publishing partner; Actes Sud, a publishing company.
