To ensure the Centre Pompidou’s renovation remains a collective, creative, and inclusive experience, Maison Pompidou welcomes visitors daily (except Tuesdays) just beside the construction site.
Located in the former Brancusi Studio, it offers exhibitions, talks, tours, and workshops focused on the Centre’s history, its architecture, and the transformation ahead.

Discover the future Centre Pompidou and its many challenges—technical, environmental, artistic, and societal—through early visuals and insights from the architects.
And take part! Designed with visitors in mind, a dedicated space invites you to share your expectations or respond to ongoing proposals.
La Bataille des couleurs (The Battle of the Colours)

Temporary exhibition
From 13 February to 17 August 2026
While the Centre Pompidou’s image is tied to the vivid colours that make its architecture so distinctive in the Parisian landscape, this palette emerged from a series of events and controversies involving President Georges Pompidou, the architects, museum curators, and artists between 1971 and 1977.
The inaugural exhibition at Maison Pompidou revisits these lively origins through the voices of key figures and previously unseen documents—models, preparatory sketches, objects, and original architectural elements (tables, lights, buckets, cables, etc.) Colour as a central issue—right down to the smallest detail!
