Brandt Brauer Frick

Deriving their inspiration from musicians as diverse as Kraftwerk, John Cage, Steve Reich and Jeff Mills, Brandt Brauer Frick are currently a leading trio on the electro scene. 
 
Described as "intelligent techno", Brandt Brauer Frick nevertheless lay claim to an authenticity in their musical fusion approach. They do not limit themselves to using instruments from a classic orchestra to create electronic music. In search of "the" tone, they go so far as to equip their piano with screws and elastic bands and use each part of their instruments to produce sounds and compose pieces. 

While techno was long produced by rhythm boxes and samplers, Brandt Brauer Frick use almost mechanical precision to create a rhythmic live but resolutely fluid sound strongly influenced by German club culture.
