A cult band of the British independent pop/rock scene, Teenage Fanclub was formed in 1989 in Bellshill near Glasgow, Scotland. For over thirty years, Teenage Fanclub has been writing and performing power pop songs with luminous melodies and carefully honed vocal harmonies, creating a musical style imbued with the influence of Californian bands The Byrds and The Beach Boys and built around lyrics tinged with uncertainty and nostalgia.
For the release of their latest album Nothing Lasts Forever (due out on 22 September), Teenage Fanclub have chosen to perform in seated venues only, encouraging the audience to focus on the music, which oscillates between melancholy and elation.
