In 1882, Jules Lévy staged an exhibition of works by "people who couldn't draw". The "incoherent" arts were born: a transient movement which brought gaiety to the life of Parisians for ten years. From exhibitions to costume balls, the "Incoherents" made play with conventions, art, words, things and people.
