Driven by her desire to learn new techniques, Simone Prouvé joined Alice Lund's workshop in Sweden in 1953, then Dora Jung's in Finland. This voyage of discovery in Scandinavia enabled her to open up to new techniques, new stitches, with blending yarns, openwork weaves, damask, incrustations, blends of materials, different splices. She then produced colourful weaves with abstract and organic forms inspired by nature.
