The Lyon-Perrache transport hub i11ustrates the concept of spatial urbanism promoted by René Gagès. ln collaboration with Jean Prouvé, who designed the metal structure of the buildings, he imagined a hub dedicated to different means of transport in which various travel flows gravitate around a central road and rail junction. The infrastructure testifies to the influence of reflections on megastructures and of such figures as Kenzo Tange in Japan
or Paul Rudolph in the USA.
