À Cerbère, dernier village avant l’Espagne, les voies ferrées ne se rejoignent pas. Des hommes changent les essieux des trains, Jaquie répète éternellement son travail à l’hôtel Belvédère, et Lydia, collégienne, rêve.

At Cerbère, the last French village before reaching Spain, the rail track gauge changes. Workers switch over train axles, Jaquie endlessly repeats her work at the Belvédère Hotel, and the schoolgirl, Lydia, daydreams.
