A Nicotera Marina, en Calabre, trois pêcheurs scrutent la mer, à l'aube. Le philosophe des pêcheurs accompagne le voyage dans le quotidien d'un village au bord de l'Europe. Les maçons chantent, on bavarde chez le coiffeur, les touristes prennent le soleil, indifférents. Et puis la tempête éclate, et la nuit les pêcheurs travaillent sous la lune.
At Nicotera Marina, in Calabria, three fishermen are scanning the sea at dawn. The fishermen's philosopher accompanies this journey through the everyday life of a village on the edge of Europe. The stone masons sing, there is chitchat at the barber's, and tourists sunbathe in their indifference. Then the storm breaks and, at night, the fishermen set to work under the moon.
