Enio Iommi participated in the Asociación Arte Concreto-Invención, movement founded in Argentina in the mid-1940s. With the other artists associated with this group, including the theorist Tomás Maldonado, he promoted a non-figurative, geometric, «concrete» art, which drew considerably on Russian Constructivism. This sculpture, composed simply of iron wires, develops the line in space to create flexible, dynamic forms.
