trois grands-mères juives, immigrées, qui ont survécu ; elle essaie de leur
faire raconter leurs souvenirs.

immigrant Jewish grandmothers that had survived; she tries to get them to talk

ci lui raconte sa vie : sa jeunesse malheureuse, son mariage avec un homme

In 1971, Jean Eustache had the idea of filming his grand mother, Odette Robert.
She tells him about her life: her unhappy youth, her marriage to a womaniser,
her parents’ tragic death, her children.
