Performances Dessin

The Drawing Lab, a space dedicated to experimentation and exhibitions, welcomes a program of five performances presented in dialogue with the exhibition “Drawings Without Limits” at the Grand Palais, on view from December 16, 2025 to March 25, 2026.
These five events form a fluid, carefully articulated trajectory in which the position of drawing is continually questioned and redefined.
Opening the program, Greek artist Georgia Sagri explores the body’s capacity for transformation. In her practice, drawing precedes performance, serving as a space where gestures take shape and emotions are inscribed.
For the next two artists, drawing is intimately intertwined with performance. With Jimmy Robert, a tension unfolds between gesture and trace, as a roll of paper functions both as constraint and as surface. The resulting marks raise questions about what remains of the performance.
British artist Juliette Blightman proposes an performance taking the structure of a traditional catwalk/runway show with a juxtaposition across various mediums with large drawings, clothes designed by Blightman, and a specially commissioned soundtrack
With Diogo Pimentão, who transforms paper and graphite into sculptural structures, drawing expands into space and spreads across the walls.
To conclude the program, on Saturday, January 31, artist Christine Herzer will maintain a continuous presence at the Drawing Lab—from opening until 10:00 p.m.—relentlessly weaving together writing and drawing.
