New-yorkais d’adoption, l’artiste Christo et sa femme Jeanne-Claude ont œuvré pendant vingt ans pour réaliser leur projet The Gates. Après moult rejets, les 7 500 portiques ont finalement été installés dans Central Park, pendant 15 jours, en février 2005. Et Albert Maysles a été là constamment, avec sa caméra.
